I use this to cut 12lb steel rail that is two inchs by 1 1/2 inches thick. This baby does it with amazing speed. It is comfortable to handle very well balanced, changing a blade is a snap. You can never go wrong with a Milwaukee product this 28 volt is another example and just a pleasure to work with.

I use mine to cut metal molding other channel/stuff; however, this is the ultimate in cutting the stems of cut flowers. Get the vase ready, trim the leaves to above the water line, cut at a slant, immediately place the bunch in the water. The flowers last two more days and open faster. So, Guys, when you buy this, do it for her!
