I generally do not buy reconditioned items but the brand name, power output and the PRICE was too much to resist. I was not disappointed, I purchased this saw as a Christmas gift for my son (he's taking after the old man) and I wanted him to have a saw that would outlast cheaper models by years. Hitachi equipment reconditioned by Hitachi and I saved nearly $100 on this baby, I am not disappointed. Negative: The rip guide is missing.
