This was on sale at amazon for an astoundingly low price. I didn't expect much. It turns out this is more saw than I really need, but it's nice to know I have the proper tool should a big job arise. For the small jobs I have around the house, it cuts like butter. The laser sight is not just a hokey gimmick but actually very useful to a hack like me. Typical BD high quality.

Had some battery-operated power tools, but had issues with the batteries and, consequently, couldn't use the tools reliably. Therefore, I recently transitioned back to corded tools and purchased this saw. Considering I'm only a home user, I wanted something of quality but did not need it to be the absolute "top-of-the-line." I just finished building a fence with this saw and found it to be very easy and comfortable to operate and to have plenty of power. In short, it is a great tool and I would highly recommend it. I also liked the fact that it came with its own carrying/storage case.

I've worked with power tools as a part of my job for over forty years.
br /This is one the best home use circular saws for the money I've seen yet.
br /Easy to use and powerful. Some might find it a little heavy, but that's because of the sturdy construction, it will do the job. The padded grip makes for a lot less hand strain, and adjustment settings are easy to use and well placed.
br /The storage case is a real bonus, and the laser beam really helps line up that cut.
br /A quality tool for home use. I recommend it.
