The Panel Pro is easy to put together and acceptably easy to fine tune alignment. The ruler options are not optional in my book. The wheels are handy but add challenges when ripping thick boards. It is a backsaver for crosscutting and ripping panels while working alone. The narrow bed does put unneeded stress on you while ripping sheets longer than 6'. Optional 2' to 4' extentions would be nice but not available. You must build your own. They save all the extension options for their much pricier upper end models.

I give this saw 5 stars with the understanding and recognition that there are better saws to be bought; but in this price range, this tool deserves the highest rating. It has great value for its cost. brI have owned this saw for nearly 4 months and am extremely pleased with it. I use it almost exclusively for cutting thin (1/4") sheet goods, but have used it occasionally for 1/2" material. I have not as yet (and don't expect to) use it for long rips, where the saw is stationary and the material is pushed against it. brIt is well designed and made, and is capable of extremely precise cuts. It exceeded my expectations, which were lowered by reading a review by a user some months back. I must now, in his case, suspect operator error.brPacking was well done and assembly straighforward and reasonably simple. I had a minor problem with one of its components and the company (Safety Speed Cut) response was immediate and completely satisfacory. I even got to speak to a real person right from the start. Hope you like it too-- sure beats the time and danger of messing around with full sheets on a table saw or on horses with a hand, circular saw.

The saw manual did not match the saw but was close enough to assemble the saw. The saw was square when I checked the cuts right out of the box. When cutting long panels I had to support the end of the board.
I like the saw because it can be folded to make room in my shop and makes cutting panels easy.

trouble with a accurate cut line

Although the panel pro did cut the plywood the way in it showed in the video, from the first cut I was unable to get a accurate cut. I contacted the company by E-mail and disscussed this problem with them and they offered some hints as how to mark there product along the bottom to ensure the position of the blade cut.
br /You have to "peek" over the top or arournd the side of the saw area and try to see your cut line.
br /I feel some kind of sight glass to see the saw blade would be a marked improvement.
