This tool does the job as intended. It seems to have plenty of power although I must qualify this by saying that I do not own another reciprocating saw. I have however borrowed a friends Ryobi reciprocating saw and there is really no comparison. I realize that the Milwaukee is about double the price of the Ryobi, but I believe in buying a tool once and not having to upgrade later. The cutting stroke of the Milwaukee is longer and it finishes the job faster, also there is a much higher quality feel to the Milwaukee. It handles really well because the foregrip is narrow and fits the hand nicely as opposed to being wide and ungainly as in some of the other brands that I checked out at the store.

br /The storage case is really nice and durable, with a storage compartment for blades, and is also one of the few that I have that has enough space for the power cord. The shoe is easily adjusted without tools. Blade changes are easy enough although it can be made more difficult if the motor is in the "retracted" state; that makes it difficult to turn the quick lock release. The easy way around this it to just make sure the motor is fully "out" before unplugging the tool by tapping on the trigger until it is in the right position.

br /I expect this tool to last a long time as Milwaukee has the reputation for quality tools.
