I bought this saw about a year and a half ago thinking it would save on rental fees. The table is warped which makes it impossible to get two pieces from one. The weight of the "waste side causes it to drop and snap the tile. Leaving a rather large piece of scrap. Mk said no problem and a new table arrives only to be warped. In order to finish this job I'm back at the rental center. "Made In The U.S.A." Where is the quality control??? Idon't know if Mk is aware of the fact that this make both me and the MK Company look pretty bad in the eyes of my customers. But I do have to admit that the red color of the tool is pretty. I'll find someone to unload this on and will be looking at the imports very quickly. I'm losing time, money and not to mention wasting material.

I am sorry to hear of the warped table problem the other reviewer had. Although I don't know how it could be possible because this is a cast aluminum table and then ground to a finish level. So if it were warped it would probably be destroyed too. Anyway, this saw it quite simply fantastic. I was cutting dense fossil ridden limestone today and was blowing right through 16"x1/2" thick tiles like butter and my starret square said they were perfect!. Wonderful American Made Baldor motor, legendary MK 101 base body, smooth as glass flat as glass table top, (despite this other poor fella's claims) beautiful cuts up to 24"!!! What other saw for this price can do that at this price have a legendary reputation to stand on. Don't let him fool you this saw is a winner!!

GREAT TILE SAW

Works great for me - I think the other two reviews that complain of a warped table and not cutting straight have the same problem - the saw blade is installed backwards. That causes overheating and bad cuts with a short life.

Curved cut from dull blade

I have also had issues with a MK 101 Pro not cutting strait. The say would cut a curved line with about 1/8" curve across a 12" tile. Aligning the saw to cut strait proved impossible. Anyway, MK sent me a new guide rail believing it may have been warped. It still cut curved. In the end it turned out to be the blade (MK 225 Hotdog). It seems when the relatively thin 225 blades begin to dull they warp wile cutting hard material like porcelain. A new blade fixed the problem in a flash. Unfortunately the 225 blades don't stand up very long (on porcelain anyway) before they start warping.

br /I don't know if this problem is typical of tiles saw blades as the MK 101 w/ 225 blade is the only setup I've used. Although, I've been led to believe a blade should last much longer. As I write this I'm on my third blade tiling a 200 ft^2 bathroom/shower.

br /And for those wonder. I always use clean fresh water with the pump running full stream, I don't cut particularly fast, and the blades that cut curved do not have any visible wear to them. If anybody has an answer as to what's happening I'd love to hear it.
