At under $60, this is a rock solid reciprocating saw, that works hard for you!
You can spend 2-5x as much, and get more bells and whistles, such as higher amperage motor, "better" name, orbital action, etc..For just light to moderate use around the house and outdoors, this, and a ~12 gauge extension cord,is all most will ever need.
I put it to the test in Florida after hurricane Wilma passed thru, and it has happily cut numerous downed up to 8" diameter tree limbs, trunks and aluminum debris, using the two supplied blades, and then other blades. I just put the "speed" yellow thumbscrew to the fastest speed, and away I went!
To really cut wood (without nails in it) get a Skil "The Ugly", 9" wood/pruning blade with the jagged long teeth that look like an alligator's, and it'll saw a lot faster than the "all purpose" or "wood" blade that comes with this, or often with other saw's kits.
There's no safety lock on this saw, or on it's competitors. The securely closing plastic case is convenient to store the saw and blades inside.

High speed cutting, inexpencive battery replacement!
The safety that needs to be pushed at the same time the trigger is pushed is a pain but can be removed easly.
